What does PST and EST mean in this paragraph?

PST is Pacific Standard Time. This time zone is on the west coast of the continental United States, including California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington. EST is Eastern Standard Time, which is on the east coast. This would include the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, part of Florida, part of Tennessee, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, and a few other states.
